Visa Tools (visa.toolspopper.com) is a free ToolsPopper subdomain focused on practical H-1B and employment-based immigration utilities. It sits alongside US Tax Tools and the main toolspopper.com catalog — same parent brand, different problem set.

Why this site exists

Workers and employers already face USCIS forms, attorney memos, and fast-moving headlines. What was harder to find was a set of transparent, free checkers that (1) do not require an account, (2) do not send your answers away for AI analysis, and (3) show their sources with a “last reviewed” date. We built Visa Tools to fill that gap: fee eligibility screening, cost stacking, grace-period math, lottery weighting explainers, and priority-date / Visa Bulletin comparison helpers.

Immigration decisions affect real livelihoods. Made-up exemptions are worse than no tool at all. Every interactive result on this site follows fixed rules drawn from official sources — the same trust-first approach as our US Tax Tools sibling site, applied to immigration planning instead of tax brackets.

Who builds and maintains it

Visa Tools is maintained by the ToolsPopper team (contact: info@toolspopper.com). We are publishers of educational planning tools, not a law firm and not USCIS. When litigation or fee schedules move, we update our published rules and dated banners; we do not pretend to be your counsel.

How content and rules are researched

  • Start from primary sources: USCIS alerts and form pages, White House proclamations, Federal Register final rules, and the Department of State Visa Bulletin.
  • Translate those sources into fixed screening steps that we review against the originals.
  • Write long-form explainers with concrete scenarios (change of status vs consular processing, employer-size fee tiers, 60-day grace timing) so the interactive tool is not floating without context.
  • Link out so you can verify — we would rather send you to uscis.gov than invent a paraphrase that ages badly.

How often we update

For litigation-sensitive tools (such as the H-1B $100K fee checker), we keep a visible “Last verified” legal-status banner. For fee tables and Visa Bulletin–dependent tools, we aim to re-check official pages when major notices publish, and at least on a monthly cadence for bulletin-linked content. If you spot a rule that looks stale, tell us via Contact — that feedback is how small sites stay honest.

What we will not do

  • Sell “guaranteed approvals.”
  • Replace your attorney.
  • Hand your facts to a chat bot that can invent case law.

Start with the H-1B $100K fee checker, read Methodology, and keep Disclaimer in mind before you act on any result.
